We loved our songs: (acting out) The Airplane Song by Laurie Berkner and I'm a Little Airplane. We loved our airplane craft. But most of all, we loved being together!

Preschool Storytime

This week we enjoyed some of Mo Willems's famous pigeon books. We read, Pigeon finds a Hot Dog! & Pigeon wants a Puppy! Danced around to the Wheels on the Bus from the CD Songs kids love to sing by Brian Green. Finally, ending our session with a pigeon craft. "Pigeon finds a HOME!" Children enjoyed the pigeon puppets and could enjoy creating more and more stories at home.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Each year we read Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas and each year children enjoy hearing this classic story. This year during storytime, we did something a little different; the children (and their parents) acted as Who-ville citizens. Together we acted out the story and enjoyed the afternoon story and snacks. To the left, Isra, portrays the Grinch. The Grinch laughed in his throat. And he made a quick Santy Claus hat and a coat. And he chuckled, and clucked, What a great Grinchy trick! "With this coat and this, hat I look just like Saint Nick!" Then as many of us know, all he needed was a reindeer. "If I can't find a reindeer, I'll make one instead!" and as you can see there was a beautiful reindeer named Victoria.

Stop by this weekend for some of your favorite stories and movies!
