we had a costume party! Mrs. Amera shared Mouse's First Halloween by Lauren Thompson, Baby Bat's Lullaby by Jacquelyn Mitchard, and children were able to participate during the story of The Little Old Lady who was not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams. Children were taught the Five Little Pumpkins rhyme (Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate, The first one said,"Oh my, it's getting late", The second one said, "There are witches in the air," The third one said," But we don't care", The fourth one said, "Let's run, let's run," and The Fifth one said, "Isn't Halloween Fun?", Then Whoo went the wind and out went the light and Five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!). Children also participated in a costume parade and walked out with a new craft, a bat candy holder! Don't forget to check out some more books, dvds, and perhaps some spooky music! :
