Lego Program

 

Children got a chance to play with LEGO sets & LEGO games. Then we all got together for a LEGO card game where children had to DO or tell us to DO something depends on the cards they picked! At the end of the program two children were lucky to check out our newest LEGO movies. If you want to check out LEGO movies or chapter books, look for them the next time you visit the library!

Library Game Day!

 After school, it's Game Time! Stop by on November 9th between 1:00 - 2:00 for our next game day. Most schools are closed on that day so stop by and join the fun!

 

Storytime for Twos

  Last week children enjoyed animal stories. Animal Baths by Bob Barner, Animals are sleeping by Suzanne Slade, and If you're happy and you know it by Jane Cabrera were the stories Mrs. Amera shared with the group.

 
Some children are working with their parents and others think they have everything under control...(until the GLUE Sticks come out!)  :O)

Look at these little kids.... some were so eager to color and create their little ducky buddy & others were ready to read.... or at least browse our books!

The Wolves were @ the library!

 
 

 Our local Wolf Scouts met at the Iselin Library this week. After learning about all the wonderful things the library has for them, Mrs. Amera read them the story Library Mouse by Daniel Kirk. Then they got busy creating their own books and checking out some great stories for their upcoming camping trip! Have a great weekend, be safe, and enjoy your stories!!

If you are a scout leader call your local library for a trip to the library with your scouts SOON!

Dance Party!

 

 

Children ages 12 - 24 months had the time to jump, twist, and hop! If you want to meet new people, dance to music, and party with your tots; stop by on Monday, October 15th at 11:00am! This program does not require you to sign up in advance, just wear some comfy shoes and join the fun!

Bookworm Club

 

Children got together and decorated part of our library. Come see what they like to read and check out their illustrations. If you're in grades 2, 3, 4, or 5; join our next program on Friday, October 26th from 2:00 -3:00pm. Stop by anytime after school and make new friends! Everyone leaves with a new bookmark! (Woohoo!)

 

 

Time for Tots Storytime!

 

Children ages 12 - 24months got together and had lots of fun! Together we sang nursery rhymes, saw rhymes on a flannel board, we jumped and turned and jumped some more. After the program Mrs. Amera shared these fun free apps: I hear Ewe, Classic Nursery Rhymes (keep in mind only the 1st two rhymes are free), & At the Circus.

Please mark your calendars for next months DANCE PARTY programs on Mondays October 1 & 15 from 11:00 - 11:45am, you do not need to register for these programs!

Read to a Therapy Pet

This week children were able to share some stories with Kayleigh and Cupcake (cupcake has on the pretty dress). This program is geared for children grades 2 & Up & helps children practice reading out loud to animals that LOVE to Listen! All of our readers loved reading to our special guests. Most will most likely come back next month for out next Read to a Therapy Pet Program on Tuesday October 30th from 7:00 - 8:00 pm.

School Age Fall Program

 Children chose between a bear, an apple, or a tree picture frame. They got creative and decorated their new fall frames!
