After tracing their hands each child chose a saying of their choice: "These hands plant trees!", "These hands recycle!", "These hands don't litter!", or "These hands protect our earth!" They had A LOT of fun with our Earth Ball and left the library with an arm full of earth-friendly craft ideas and books.
This week we read stories about GARDENING! Stories shared were Good Morning, Garden by Brenner, Jasper's Beanstalk by Butterworth, and My Garden by Henkes. As you can see, children hand-made their own flowers! How many different flowers can you spot in SPRING?
