Diary of a Wimpy Kid Party

At the Woodbridge Public Library, many children have been enjoying Jeff Kinney's Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, so we decided it was time to have a PARTY!

Children enjoyed an afternoon of fun! Activities included drawing your favorite character(s), creating your own diary or journal, testing their memories at our trivia table, stopping for snack time, and what's a party without a CHEESE TOUCH game? (similar to hot potato with a foam cheese) EVERYONE LEFT WITH A :O)

TIME FOR SPRING w/ THREES

SPRING IS HERE @ the Library! Our creative kids made sunny scenes around the Very Hungry Caterpillar after enjoying the story by Eric Carle. The children helped Mrs. Amera act out the story!

SUPER STORYTIME

These super heros were ready for SUPER stories, so after we sang our ABCs and named some super heros, they were ready for SuperHero ABC by Bob McLeod! Then they soared with their capes, made their masks, and showed me their super strengths!

Time for Threes

LUCKY ME.... I'm THREE! This week we were lucky to be in Mrs. Amera's storytime. Stories shared were Good Luck Bear by Greg Foley and Platypus and the Lucky Day by Chris Riddell. We twirled to Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear song and learned a new Color Song. Marched, hopped, and shook to Art Garfunkel's Good Luck Charm. Then made rainbow windsocks to twirl in the breeze!

Registration for Preschool storytime begins tomorrow (3/18/10). If your child is 3, 4, or 5 you can call us at 732-634-4450 ext. 7140. All classes are held Wednesday mornings, please call for more details.
