Preschool Storytime

This week during our storytime session we had a ROARING good time! If you know a child who LOVES dinosaurs, come in to the children's room and you'll find a large variety in picture books and in non-fiction books. This week children listened to Dinosaur Dinosaur by Kevin Lewis & Dinosaur vs. Bedtime by Bob Shea, marched to Laurie Berkner's We are the Dinosaurs song, & made their very own Dinos! Some of their dinos were friendly, but not all. :O)

Time for Threes

This week at our Time for Threes program
we had a costume party! Mrs. Amera shared Mouse's First Halloween by Lauren Thompson, Baby Bat's Lullaby by Jacquelyn Mitchard, and children were able to participate during the story of The Little Old Lady who was not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams. Children were taught the Five Little Pumpkins rhyme (Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate, The first one said,"Oh my, it's getting late", The second one said, "There are witches in the air," The third one said," But we don't care", The fourth one said, "Let's run, let's run," and The Fifth one said, "Isn't Halloween Fun?", Then Whoo went the wind and out went the light and Five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!). Children also participated in a costume parade and walked out with a new craft, a bat candy holder! Don't forget to check out some more books, dvds, and perhaps some spooky music! :
