Look what we did @ the Library!

Last week, after our Listen to your Summer Reading books for children entering Kindergarten in the fall, after listening to One Bean by Anne Rockwell children decorated planters and planted lima beans to take home and watch them grow. Thank you Jessica,Thomas, & family for taking care of your plants and for sharing your pictures with us.

Preschool Storytime-week 2


 

Children attended a worm/caterpillar themed program. Mrs. Amera read Bob and Otto by Bruel, Noodle & Lou by Scanlon, and Underground by Fleming; then children got creative and began decorating caterpillars and butterflies. If your enjoying our summer reading club, dig into your local library and check out some more books! Earn your book bucks and aim for some high prizes!

Dig Into T-shirt Decorating


Some children chose their favorite design and began decorating with fabric markers, others decided to create their own style!  Young siblings enjoyed coloring our Dig into Reading coloring sheets while they waited.

Listen to your summer reading book- Kindergarten






 

Children entering Kindergarten in the fall, listened to How do Dinosaurs Say Good Night? by Yolen, DinoPets by Plourde, One Bean by Rockwell and Spiky, Slimy, Smooth by Brocket. Then children made their own little gardens after Digging in and touching the texture of soil and beans.

Library Game Day!

Preschool Storytime Session 1

 This week children enjoyed Dinosaur, Dinosaur by Lewis & How Do Dinosaurs Eat their Food? by Yolen. Mrs. Amera displayed some dinosaurs using the flannel board and attempted to name some of them. :O) We acted out the rhyme Five Enormous Dinosaurs, sang some silly dinosaur songs, and made our very own friendly dinosaurs to take home.

Dig Into Sand Art

 Children dug up their sand art pictures and got right to work! Siblings that were too young to create sand art pictures were able to sit and enjoy our summer reading theme coloring pages. Don't forget to sign up all your friends!
