Construction: Cars & Trucks

Mrs. Amera with her handy helpers
Samantha & Brianna

These future engineers constructed their first road at the Iselin Branch Library! They all did a great job participating to Emma Garcia's Tip, Tip, Dig, Dig. This week we learned a new rhyme, called Traffic Lights, that goes like this:
"Stop" says the red light (put hands up)

"Go" says the green (point finger),

"Wait"says the yellow light blinking in between (open and shut hands).

That's what they say and (indicate Stop) that's what they mean (indicate go). We all must obey them (open & shut handin blinking for signal ),

Even the Queen! (put hands on head for crown)

Reading! Setting! Flying!

After listening to Pilot Pups by Michelle Meadows & I Love Planes by Philemon Sturges, children learned two airplane rhymes, then made their own airplanes!

Cultural Day

Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! To all our performers for putting on a wonderful show last Saturday. Everyone did a fabulous job of showing and explaining their cultural dance. Claudia, from the European school of dance performed the Flamenco dance; Paheli & Dhara, from the Indianica Academy Inc. shared a classical Indian dance; Brandis & Jorge, from Brandis Dance Theatre performed AND taught our children the Tango; Sabrina, from the Woodbridge School of Dance gracefully performed a solo ballet dance; and Cassandra, also from the Woodbridge School of Dance shared with us her tap dancing skills.

Once again, I'd like to thank you for donating your time and talent to the Iselin Branch Library!
