Finally, after weeks of trying to celebrate Elmo's birthday, it stopped snowing long enough for us to PARTY! Children listened to Elmo LOVES You! by Sarah Albee, did a birthday cake finger play, made crafts, had snacks, and of course DANCED! A special thank you, to Riya and her mom, for their handmade birthday card to Elmo.

Children of all ages had a great time making valentine's crafts at the library last week. Some children decorated hearts with yellow, red, & orange tissue paper and had their valentine message: "My hearts on fire for....."; some children made flower bookmarks, but every child helped us decorate hearts (with favorite author/character/ library service/ favorite picture of them reading) for our 50 HEARTS 50 BOOKS for 50 YEARS of our library celebration!
