Bookworm Club

 

Children got together and decorated part of our library. Come see what they like to read and check out their illustrations. If you're in grades 2, 3, 4, or 5; join our next program on Friday, October 26th from 2:00 -3:00pm. Stop by anytime after school and make new friends! Everyone leaves with a new bookmark! (Woohoo!)

Time for Tots Storytime!

 


Children ages 12 - 24months got together and had lots of fun! Together we sang nursery rhymes, saw rhymes on a flannel board, we jumped and turned and jumped some more. After the program Mrs. Amera shared these fun free apps: I hear Ewe, Classic Nursery Rhymes (keep in mind only the 1st two rhymes are free), & At the Circus.

Please mark your calendars for next months DANCE PARTY programs on Mondays October 1 & 15 from 11:00 - 11:45am, you do not need to register for these programs!

Read to a Therapy Pet


This week children were able to share some stories with Kayleigh and Cupcake (cupcake has on the pretty dress). This program is geared for children grades 2 & Up & helps children practice reading out loud to animals that LOVE to Listen! All of our readers loved reading to our special guests. Most will most likely come back next month for out next Read to a Therapy Pet Program on Tuesday October 30th from 7:00 - 8:00 pm.

School Age Fall Program



 Children chose between a bear, an apple, or a tree picture frame. They got creative and decorated their new fall frames!

Preschool Fall Program

 

 After listening to some fall stories(Ducking for Apples by Berry & It's Fall! by Glasser) and participating in Fall themed rhymes, children made their own special fall accessory at their library!

School-Age Back-To-School program




 Children listened to a motivational story from our non-fiction book, Chicken Soup for the Kid's Soul.   Remember to check out our non-fiction collection! You can learn a lot in school AND at your local Library!
Stop by anytime after school and choose a subject that interests you. We have a lot of REAL good stories at your libary!

After listening to Bailey by Harry Bliss, a story about a puppy's first day at school; all the children decorated apples, and some children wrote a brief message for their teachers. Hope you have a wonderful fun-filled year!

I SPY ... A Special Program!

 


 


If you're familiar with Walter Wick's collection of I Spy books, then you'd love this program. Children made paper tube binoculars, played games, put "I SPY" puzzles together, & went on a scavenger hunt around the library for 16 items.  Some children worked in pairs, some children went in groups, and some went solo; but they all conquered their missions! Don't forget to come back this Friday, Sept. 14th for Library Game day anytime between 3:30 and 4:30pm. Bring your friends and Have more fun at the library!

READ, SHOW, & TELL!

Did you hear what my BFF read over the summer?  What have you been reading all summer long? Share the stories you've been reading with your classmates and then come check out what they've been reading! All the Woodbridge Summer Reading List books are still pulled and easy to locate. If they've been reading new fiction books or non-fiction books or some of our other wonderful classic titles, remember your librarians are always happy to help you, JUST ASK!
