After listening to Mrs. Amera's stories while paper folding and listening to Lizzy's Friends by Grace Lin, children had time to learn the stories Mrs. Amera told and learned how to make a fortune teller.
As a bonus: Mrs. Amera also learned something that day! She was taught how to make a hat/box. :O)
After the program, children checked out books to learn more origami.... If you've missed this program, come in anytime and check out our books. Maybe you'll get a chance to teach Mrs. Amera, a friend, a relative, a teacher, etc. something you've learned at the library!
